I spent a 3-day, 2-night trip to Hakone at Okuyumoto. It was a really nice hotel, but I had a few concerns that I'd like to share! Impressions - As other reviewers have mentioned, the signal really was terrible. There was dedicated WiFi, but the connection was weak, making it difficult to do much research for my trip. - I used the table tennis court every day for an additional fee, and found the same brown-winged cockroach in the same place both times, which made me think the room wasn't cleaned every day. - After checking in and entering my room, I immediately checked it and found toothpaste trash left behind, likely from the previous guest, which was a bit disappointing. - I stayed in room 306, and for two days in a row, there was a constant, unpleasant noise coming from the floor above between 5:00 and 6:00 a.m. I had hoped to sleep in until 7:00, but the noise prevented me from getting a good night's sleep either night. 💦 Good Points ・The food was absolutely delicious. 👍 ・This time, I stayed in a room with an open-air bath, and the water was always clean and warm, allowing me to relax. ☺️ The view from the bath was also truly beautiful! ️ ・The front desk staff were excellent, and I ended my trip feeling great. The staff at the buffet were also very kind, and I'd definitely like to come back to this hotel! ✨

There are smoking areas on each floor, which is great. We were there for a celebration, so we ordered a boat-shaped platter, which was extravagant and well-received.
