I wouldn't recommend the Palma Hotel to anyone if you're friendly and accustomed to comfortable service and a hotel. The disappointment starts right from the reception. The staff behaves in a way that prioritizes themselves over the customer. The only positive thing was one guy at reception, who, despite everything, kept smiling until the very end. The two girls at reception were disappointing in their attitude. Our room was smoky, but no one would change it for us – they said, "No, we won't change it, open the window." We asked for a refund and left the hotel, but they told us they wouldn't. The room was small, there were no toothbrushes, tea, or coffee, and the slippers were so disposable that they were already torn by the time I put them on. When we asked, "What didn't you like?" they replied, "You saw the photo of what you bought." The reviews made the hotel look magnificent and special, but in reality, it was completely plain and unremarkable. Why should I have to prove anything if I didn't like it? I don't want to waste my vacation trying to figure things out and adapt. We came here for a vacation and expected a friendly hotel, but our stay was ruined. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my friends. There are hotels nearby with friendly staff, a wonderful approach, and better rooms. The price difference is almost negligible, but the stay there will be magnificent. The "comfort" offered by the hotel is also perplexing: sleeping on a thick oilcloth mattress pad is perhaps convenient for the hotel from a maintenance standpoint, but certainly not for the guest. This material creates discomfort and doesn't meet expectations for quality service and relaxation. I do not recommend Hotel Palma to anyone who is used to friendly staff and comfortable service. The room smelled of smoke, but no one changed it — we were told, “No, we won’t change it, just open the window.” When we asked for a refund and to leave the hotel, we were told that no refund would be provided. The room was small and lacked basic amenities such as toothbrushes, tea, or coffee. The slippers were so flimsy that they tore while I was putting them on. When we asked what exactly we didn’t like, we were told, “You saw in the photos what you booked.” According to reviews, the hotel appears wonderful and special, but in reality, it is completely average and unremarkable. Why should I have to prove anything if I didn’t like it? I do not want to spend my vacation arguing or adapting to uncomfortable conditions. We came to relax and expected a friendly atmosphere, but our stay was spoiled. I will not recommend this hotel to friends. There are hotels very close by with much friendly staff, a better approach to guests, and superior rooms. The price difference is barely noticeable, but the overall experience there is far better. Additionally, the so-called “comfort” offered by the hotel is questionable: sleeping on a mattress covered with a thick plastic protector may be convenient for the hotel in terms of maintenance, but it is certainly not comfortable for the guest. This material causes discomfort and does not meet expectations of quality service and rest.
