I'm sure this hotel, like the city, has seen better days. The room I had didn't have curtains, the shower screen moved with the remote control (and my slippers ended up covered in lint that I only remember from Western movies). Proper maintenance and cleaning of the rooms would be essential if they want to maintain their reputation as a hotel. On the other hand, the reception staff are very friendly and professional, attentive and always available. Congratulations.

We spent one night as a family at this hotel. The room we were given overlooked the square where there's a children's playground. The room was large, and the bathroom was well-equipped with towels and toiletries such as shampoo/shower gel, a toothbrush, a comb, hand soap, and a hairdryer. Unfortunately, the floor and furniture in the room were quite dirty. The bathroom walls and curtains were very stained. We could hear noise from the street and from the neighbors who were talking and making noise during the night. The beds are spring mattresses that dig into you while sleeping. It was very uncomfortable, and none of the three of us who slept there were able to get any rest. There were two TVs in the room, and neither of them worked. We had breakfast at the buffet, which was quite varied and tasty.

An outdated hotel that could use a facelift, although if that were all, it wouldn't necessarily be bad. I understand that, without belonging to a large chain, updating and remodeling a hotel is a significant investment, so the fact that it's somewhat outdated isn't a problem in itself, but the feeling of neglect in maintaining what they have is. Peeling paint, dirt... Dirty shower tray (in the attached photo you can see a clearer line; I made it with my finger), poor condition of the fixtures, black silicone in the shower... The hotel's location is good, right in the center, and although it's difficult to park on the street, for €10 a day you can leave your car in the parking garage across the street, which isn't bad for the price considering the convenience. As for the staff, no complaints, polite at all times.
