We'd been here two days earlier, and I wanted to give them a 10 back then. The rooms are very nice, the staff is super friendly. We had a great stay. Beautiful view. Our second time was a completely different story; we had no water and there was a serious leak. And then a stay, even in a nice room, is very unpleasant. Besides, we were now looking at a wall. Such a shame. All the things that weren't so bad the first time suddenly become very annoying. The freezing pool, the shabby gym, the bar that's never open, the front door that only opens so far that you can barely get your suitcase in. But the worst part was that the next day we told them there was no water, so we'd used a bottle of water from the minibar to brush our teeth. Showering or using the toilet wasn't an option anyway. Instead of an apology or something, we were met with a sour look that we didn't necessarily have to pay for the bottle of water (but would rather we did). And that's how hotels get 1s and 10s at the same time. As a guest, you just have to be lucky with the room you get.

I'll try to stick to the facts: dirty room, traces of questionable liquid on the walls, mold in the bathroom, holes in the walls, dirty glasses. No toiletries, no coffee in the rooms, not even a complimentary bottle of water. The pool was murky and the shower unusable because it was dangerous. Once all this information was reported to reception, I was told that's just how it is, with no involvement and a lack of respect; we felt like we were bothering them. The manager refused to acknowledge the problems with us; for him, it's a 4-star hotel. Remember, the price per night is the local minimum wage for comparison. Avoid this place for the price. This hotel must have seen better days 10 years ago. The maintenance is nonexistent. There are much better options on the island.

Our stay at Hotel Pérola was a very disappointing experience. The hotel is in desperate need of renovations. There were a number of issues with the facilities which are far from the 4 star rating and the price range (more than 400 euros for 3 nights). The issues start immediately as we arrived since the front door struggles to open! I booked a superior room but was surprised to see the ceiling had mold, the shower was broken in several places, also full of mold and both the sheets and carpet had stains. The room smelled bad at random times, the mini bar had no prices, and despite cleaning daily, the staff left dirty glasses and towels on the floor for two nights in our room. There were also no toileteries or water provided and the shower was cold on day 2 of our stay. We complained to the staff and nothing was done. On top of all, they made me pay the complete booking on arrival before even seeing the room... Pool area very old, stained chairs and bar was closed our whole stay. Very deceiving experience overall and the staff did nothing to help or mitigate the issues. Would advise anyone to skip. Only the view and location was good..
