Hotel Petr has a very good location in the center of Karlovy Vary, right on the promenade. Many sights are within walking distance, which is definitely a plus. The room was clean, but rather basic and somewhat dated. The furnishings are functional, but lack any special comforts. In some places, it's noticeable that the hotel is in need of renovation. The staff were mostly friendly, and the service was generally adequate, but nothing special. Breakfast was average: sufficient, but with a limited selection. Overall, the hotel is acceptable for a short stay, primarily because of its location. However, anyone expecting more comfort or modern amenities should perhaps consider other accommodations.
