We booked this hotel for 7 days, but only stayed for 3. When we arrived here from the airport, the reception told us that they had no vacancies. Whether it was a mistake of the travel agency or the hotel is still unknown. We were taken to another hotel, told that in 3 days we would return to our booked hotel. After 2 days we wanted to contact Pantao to clarify our arrival time and transfer time, but of course no one answered us during the day and did not provide any information! Still, we were able to check into this hotel, but only after 4 days, not in 3, as we were promised. The hotel does not care about its own guests so much that it did not even bother to organize a transfer for us, we got there ourselves at our own expense!!! There were no explanations!!! Horror and shame on you!!! The hotel is cozy, the rooms are cleaned every day. Breakfasts did not change for 3 days, it was the same. 300 meters to the ocean, lots of cafes, restaurants and souvenirs nearby. There is a private parking lot. Overall, the hotel is not bad, but the service is a shame!!! And so that you don't write me off under my review, leave your explanations, we demanded an explanation during our stay😡

We had some bad luck with the room. Almost every day something went wrong (three times no hot water, once ants in the room, at check-in the gentleman at the counter was completely overwhelmed and almost refused to give us a room, our key card stopped working so they had to call the locksmith). The room was in a deplorable state (partially saggy mattresses, stained bedding (even though it had been freshly laundered), cracked walls, frayed towels, and superficial cleaning). Breakfast was good, the same buffet every day, the courtyard was lovely, and the staff were friendly but not all competent.

A medium-sized hotel near the center of Santa Maria and its various beaches. The quietly located room on a side street was spacious with a nice view and was thoroughly cleaned (and mopped!) every day. Breakfast was extensive, and we also had dinner a few times, the quality of which was somewhat variable, but still adequate. The relaxed and peaceful atmosphere was very pleasant and not as sterile as in all those huge new resorts, which are often located further from the center. The staff were all very friendly, although their English wasn't always great, but that awkwardness also had its charm. I found the architecture very atmospheric; the building reminded me of a monastery surrounding a courtyard, in this case a swimming pool, with a cloister of palms, plants, and banana trees surrounding it. The roof terrace also looked well-maintained. The only downside were the somewhat sagging and worn yellow lounge chairs; they really need replacing!
