Hotel Porto da Ilha

I think they need to improve the entry card system for the elevators; we've had to change it more than once.

Hotel Porto da Ilha was a pleasant surprise. The last time we were in Florianópolis, we stayed at another hotel that we considered very good. Even so, this time, after reading the reviews, we decided to stay at Porto da Ilha — and we didn't regret it. Location and access: the hotel is very well located, in a central and upscale area of the city, with excellent infrastructure nearby (cafes, markets, pharmacies, restaurants, etc.), which makes everything easier in daily life. Check-in/check-out and service: quick and organized processes, with always clear and precise information. The highlight, however, was the staff: everyone was very polite, helpful, and genuinely cordial. This type of service makes a difference and improves the entire experience. In addition, the hotel has comfortable and well-decorated reception and waiting rooms, making the environment even more sophisticated. Room and cleanliness: Standard-sized room, but very comfortable, with a great mattress and pillows, impeccably clean bedding, several power outlets (220V), and a stocked minibar. The bathroom is excellent. The TV (Claro TV) offers many channels. And the cleanliness was a chapter in itself: meticulous daily service, with consistent and complete towel changes and replenishment of amenities—something that doesn't always happen, even in more expensive hotels. Breakfast: Simply spectacular. Without exaggeration, the breakfast at Porto da Ilha leaves many luxury chains behind. Everything is very fresh, with great variety and quality: delicious homemade cakes, pies, and breads, plus excellent brewed coffee (not to mention there's also a coffee machine). We stayed for about five days and noticed that there was always some variation, which made everything even more interesting each morning. Once again, the breakfast staff deserves praise: attentive and polite. And an extra touch we loved: after breakfast, the hotel keeps coffee, tea, and flavored water available throughout the day on a counter in front of the reception. Additional services: it's also worth mentioning that the hotel offers room service and 24-hour valet parking for R$35.00 per day — in our case, it was an excellent option, very practical and with great value for money. Overall, we loved our stay and highly recommend it. We will definitely return.

We give it 4 stars because it doesn't have a pool and they don't have lunch or dinner service, only breakfast is included and in the evening you can order food to the room for an additional fee, but everything else 10/10, excellent reception and service, comfortable beds and cozy room, it had everything we could need.
