This was my first time staying in Ito 🙂 I had booked a room in the Central East building, but upon arrival and check-in, I was upgraded to a higher floor in the Grand Chateau building. 🤩 Upon arrival, I immediately tried out the doctor fish (¥500/5 minutes), which was quite ticklish and had me laughing my head off (lol). The dinner buffet included an all-you-can-eat turban shell, scallop, and grilled shrimp, and it was fun to cook them myself. 🙂 In the evening, the Matsukawa Bamboo Lantern Promenade was right in front of the hotel, so I enjoyed a leisurely stroll. I also used the private bath, which required a fee, but it was reasonably priced at ¥1,100 for the early morning slot between 6:00 and 6:50. 🛀 Breakfast was also a buffet, but the side dishes were mostly Japanese, so it was easy on the stomach, and the white rice was delicious. 😋 Unlike Atami, I think this hotel is perfect for those who want to take their time enjoying the cityscape and hot springs. This is a hotel that I will definitely return to.

We stayed on a weekday. Buffets were plentiful for breakfast and dinner, and alcohol was all-you-can-drink. Dinner was excellent, with grilled seafood and a mini hotpot. The doctor fish were also fun. The private hot spring baths were expensive depending on the time of day, so we only used the large public bath, but the shower was weak and very difficult to use. Also, the bath in our room smelled strongly of mold, the faucets were dirty and we couldn't get in, and the built-in blinds were malfunctioning and wouldn't close, so we had to call a staff member. There was a lot of dust in the corners of the tokonoma alcove, and my friend who was sharing my room was surprised to see that his clothes were completely covered in dust. The large public bath and food were great, so the cleaning was the only disappointing thing.
