A magical family stay in Budapest! I absolutely loved it. We just had an enchanting family getaway (2 adults + 1 teenager) at the Hotel Rum Budapest, in a sublime Comfort Suite, and frankly, we don't want to leave! The location is a real gem: right in the heart of Belváros (District V), super central, a stone's throw from the must-see sights, Váci Street, the Great Market Hall… and above all, incredibly well-connected. Tram 200m away, direct bus to the airport: it couldn't be more convenient! The neighborhood is quiet, charming, with cobblestone streets where you feel completely safe at night. It's been a long time since we've felt this serenity in a major European city. Just a short walk from famous restaurants like Paris udvar, and right during the Christmas markets: the atmosphere was magical, with lights, the smell of mulled wine… pure magic! The hotel is a gem: modern and meticulously designed, cozy and chic. Our suite was spacious (with soaring ceilings), comfortable for three, and had a functional bathroom. Spotlessly clean from floor to ceiling. Breakfast was included at the SOLID restaurant, a rooftop gem with a glass roof and a Michelin Guide mention! Top-notch quality: fresh ingredients, delicious dishes cooked to order, and a panoramic view of Budapest to wake up to! My only slight regret: the à la carte menu is a bit limited. After four days, we started ordering the same dishes repeatedly. A little more variety (with rotating sweet and savory options) would have been perfect, but the quality more than makes up for it. In short, an unforgettable experience.

A good place to stay for a weekend. But few things which kind of bothered us: - the water in the shower was not super warm which is not very nice in a hotel - pillow were not the best, really it needs to be improved for a 4 stars hotel… - breakfast is « à la carte » which is ok. But please ensure to propose some fruits (specially for a 4 stars again…) - service is good tho. Nice people and very warm. - location is AMAZING, and the view from the breakfast room is gorgeous
