I've stayed at this hotel before and will return because it's truly a wonderful experience. A special thanks to the receptionist—sorry, I don't know her name—who helped us with everything from parking to great advice on where to eat. The San Miniato Hotel is a good property, although it has some issues. Well located at the entrance to the town, yet just a short walk from the center, it features a beautiful entrance and a comfortable lobby. Friendly welcome and quick check-in. The fact that we didn't have to pay right away was much appreciated. The superior room, on the 5th floor, was clean, spacious enough, and equipped with the standard amenities expected of a 4-star hotel, with furnishings in keeping with the hotel's style. One "discordant" note was the paper cups that accompanied the complimentary water. In a 4-star hotel, and especially in a "superior" room, glasses should only be glass. The bed was a normal size, and the quality of sleep was good. The interior lighting was also good, although the heat pump heating was a bit noisy. The bathroom was large and had a window, and bathrobes were provided, but the complimentary toiletries were insufficient and inadequate for the category of the hotel and the room. Excellent free parking (essential in a location like San Miniato) and equally free and working Wi-Fi. The breakfast was good (though not exceptional), with quality products, both sweet and savory, but the staff was understaffed (the receptionist, who was very kind and helpful, also served the tables). The price for a superior double room, €140.00, was not too high (the Classic room was €110.00). The quality/price ratio was good. Pier Luigi Menga (Naples)
