Thank you so much for the family-run hotels like this one. It was a pleasure to be a guest at the Tauernstern from beginning to end. From check-in to the small but lovely sauna area, to the award-winning dinner, the exceptionally spacious rooms, and a breakfast that left nothing to be desired – simply wonderful. We had a wonderful short ski vacation and can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel! The staff is incredibly friendly, extremely helpful, and truly caters to every need – you feel welcome from the very first moment. Everything feels very welcoming, familial, and yet professional. The location is perfect for skiers: the Heiligenblut ski area is easily accessible by car in about 20 minutes. We had breakfast and half-board – and honestly, we haven't eaten this well in a long time! The food was delicious, everything fresh, beautifully presented, and truly enjoyable. The rooms are clean, lovely, and well-maintained – exactly what you need after a day on the slopes. We especially loved the small, elegant spa area: perfect for relaxing after skiing. While there's no pool, the sauna and steam room are fantastic. The village itself isn't terribly busy, but that's precisely what made it so charming: incredibly friendly people and a cozy atmosphere. We even sat together in the evenings, playing games, laughing, and enjoying a drink – truly familial and relaxed. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. Bottom line: absolutely nothing to complain about – we would come back anytime. Amazing views, fantastic food, warm and welcoming people, and the perfect short ski trip! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
