Hotel Valle Andino

The room was clean, but I didn't feel very comfortable; the breakfast they offer was very basic.

Unfortunately, I'm not happy with the hotel. First, there's no heating, not a single radiator. On the third day of my stay, I got sick from the cold. After reading the reviews, I realized I could ask for a heater, which I did. Second, the soundproofing is really loud. There are huge gaps in the room doors. You can hear absolutely everything – people coming and going, watching TV, talking, and so on. I often woke up in the middle of the night when people left on excursions and slammed the doors. Third, the breakfast is very meager! Literally two rolls per person, a little butter, cheese and sausage, jam, and scrambled eggs served on a small plate. Tea and coffee are the only drinks, and that's all there is to it. I also had a problem with the breakfasts for the excursions. I asked them to prepare them for me, but no one did. I had two excursions, and it turns out I wasted money on two breakfasts. Fourth, during my five-day stay, my room was NEVER cleaned, even though I'd read that it was daily. On the fourth day, I asked why my room wasn't being cleaned, and they told me I should have given them my room key and they would have cleaned it. But of course, no one told me about these conditions. :) And finally, the woman who prepared breakfast seemed to dislike me because I didn't speak Spanish. However, I saw that she was nice to other guests. I wouldn't recommend this hotel!

A terrible check-out experience. The hotel tried to charge us 40 soles per room for supposed stains on the towels. In the end, I paid to avoid any trouble, and they charged me 35 soles in total, even though the stains were small and completely washable, which didn't justify the amount. When they tried to charge another friend the same amount and he objected, the reception staff reacted inappropriately, threatening to call the police and falsely accusing him of throwing a cell phone, which never happened. Intimidating and unprofessional treatment. I don't recommend this hotel. Be careful of any additional charges they might try to add at the end of your stay.
