I booked through Agoda and stayed the night before on January 13th. When I arrived at the hotel, I was told check-in was at 9 PM. There was no such indication on my reservation confirmation; it clearly stated check-in was at 3 PM. When I returned to check in at 9 PM, hundreds of customers had arrived, creating chaos. The hotel staff seemed completely panicked and unable to control their movements. The flow of traffic was so chaotic that I couldn't even tell where the end of the line was. Even trying to get to the end of the line, I struggled to move with my large suitcase as I pushed my way through the crowds that looked like potato washers. It took an hour and 20 minutes to check in. I arrived at my room after 10:30 PM. It's impossible. If a major disaster were to occur while I was staying at this hotel, I seriously doubt the level of this hotel's staff would be able to provide accurate and timely evacuation guidance or other response measures. They should have a solid crisis management system in place to deal with the sudden influx of customers checking in at 9 PM. Incidentally, the Royal Park Hotel, also located in Terminal 3, appears to have anticipated this situation and closed that day. I think it was a wise decision. I will never choose this hotel again.
