I booked through Yahoo! Travel. The facilities were new, and the bath was very pleasant. The breakfast buffet was also excellent, with dishes like Kanazawa curry and blackthroat seaperch soup. The front desk staff were foreigners, so communication was a little difficult, and I gave up on asking questions. However, overall, the level of service is high.

Excellent location, just steps from the station and next to a 7-Eleven. Super clean public onsen for a relaxing moment (separate men/women). The only issue is some noise due to a draft in the hallway and a creaking door that woke us up early.

We stayed here for 2 nights. This is a Western style hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Although conveniently located close to the railway and bus station, it takes 30 minutes to walk to the tourist attractions including the geisha and samurai districts. The market is a 20 minute walk away. So unless you are using a car or taxis, be prepared to do a lot of walking. The breakfast was decent and the staff were all polite and helpful. Overall, a pleasant stay.
