Howard Johnson by Wyndham Lakeland

Rooms are very cozy clean and Vic in the front desk was very welcoming and helpful he has great costumer service.

I waited a few mints at the desk but listened to some nice church music while I waited and Mrs Jill was great. bed was cozy and no stairs thank God I was on the bottom 3 little steps to go up so it was nice be back again have some business meetings to go too and this is definitely my go to place. Thank you

Upon arriving in our room on the 28th of December the room was dirty we called the front desk and had him come and mopped the floor after they left we walked into the room and my wife found old dog food underneath the bathroom sink again we called the front desk and they send somebody down to clean it again and mopped the floor again. About an hour later my wife and my daughter went to get fast food in went to put the leftovers in the refrigerator there was a live cockroach inside the refrigerator they said they have to get somebody to spray that's it. The next day after I had my surgery my wife returned to the hotel to find more cockroaches in the room she called the front office again and they said they were going to send somebody down to spray for their maintenance department my wife went to the store with my daughter came back not knowing if they really did it or not she called the front desk about another complaint about it and they said they would have to call an exterminator in on the following day. Upon her checking out she gave the keys to the front desk and they did nothing as far as offering anything as far as discounts or anything. I registered a complaint with priceline.com and booking.com is where we booked it from and they said that they would contact the hotel with a response the response came back with nothing filled with lies saying that they offered us a discount they offered us to move us to another room they offered us a discount a second time and he even said my wife was going to stay a third night but decided not to which was a straight up lie cuz I was getting out of the hospital Tuesday morning at 10:00 my wife was not going to be staying in Lakeland for anything. The hotel is dirty it's stingy it's dark there's a lot of undesirable people walking around the parking lot at night homeless people going through garbage bags outside the rooms is drugs there is people sleeping in the chairs outside the rooms it's just a terrible dirty dingy place I don't recommend it to anybody whether it be personal or business do not stay in the Howard Johnson's by Wyndham in Lakeland.
