To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally report a deeply disturbing and unacceptable experience at Howard Johnson by Wyndham – Winter Haven, which occurred during my recent stay. I had undergone an appendectomy five days prior and was physically exhausted after a family gathering. Due to all major hotel chains being fully booked, I made a reservation by phone at this location in order to rest for a few hours. Upon arrival, the front desk employee was rude, dismissive, and disrespectful. My reservation had been entered incorrectly, and despite my request for assistance, the employee refused to correct the error, forcing me to contact customer service myself and make a second reservation. By the time I was finally able to access my room, it was approximately 3:39 AM. The most serious incident occurred the following morning. At 10:45 AM, despite checkout being at 11:00 AM, a group of housekeepers began loudly yelling “housekeeping” in the hallway while opening guest room doors without consent. My door was opened three separate times, with staff placing their faces inside my room while shouting for me to leave. On the third occurrence, as I struggled to move quickly due to my recent surgery, a male housekeeper opened my door and saw me naked, continuing to yell “housekeeping.” This was an extreme violation of my privacy, dignity, and personal safety, and it caused significant emotional distress. This behavior demonstrates a serious failure in staff training, guest privacy protocols, and basic respect for guests—particularly those recovering from medical procedures. No guest should ever experience unauthorized entry into their room, especially before the designated checkout time. I am requesting a formal investigation, a written response, and appropriate corrective action. Good for the price! What really motivated me to leave a review was Anne from the front desk called to inform me I left behind an item and even offered to ship it to me. Most hotels would not go above and beyond like that so I really appreciated that from her and housekeeping. Thank you!!

This is the most disgusting place I have ever stayed. Couldn’t even put a regular sized pillow on the beds, just 3 tiny squares to top it all off. Stains on sheets.
