Hyatt House Bryan/College Station

This is my 2nd time staying at this Hyatt House Hotel and I would say that it is a consistent option. Of course there are pros & cons but overall it is not at all a bad choice for your stay. I’ve stayed in both a Studio Suite here as well as a regular King Den Room, and honestly it’s definitely worth the extra money for the suite. The staff are all pretty friendly for the most part. Complimentary breakfast was absolutely delicious and featured a huge buffet with many options. By far, it was among some of the best of all hotel breakfasts that I’ve had; It is served from 6-9 on weekdays and 6-10 on weekends. There’s a pool which looks pretty big and also seemed very clean, there is a fitness center available on site as well. The business center seems really nice actually, and the conference room that I saw was huge. For snacks and other things, you can shop in the convenience store located in the lobby. The overall location of this hotel is also pretty good; Target, Dollar Tree, Pizza Hut, Cracker Barrel, and more are within walking distance of the property. King Room vs Suite: *see photos & videos attached to this review* - STUDIO SUITE REVIEW: The studio suite has a sofa, sitting area, a spacious kitchenette with a bar sitting area, a TV that swivels all the way around so that you could watch it from either the bed or the sofa, a walk-in shower, a closet and extra storage space, and more. There is heating and cooling controlled by a thermostat on the wall, but I did notice that it stayed pretty cold no matter what I set it at. In the kitchenette, there is a dishwasher, fridge, microwave, and a stovetop for cooking/storing food, and all of the cabinets come stocked with dishes and other convenient kitchen supplies. The wall outlets throughout the suite are all conveniently located so that you can charge and use your device while you relax. - KING ROOM REVIEW: The king room was noticeably less kept up with, the carpet needed badly to be changed and the room smelled strongly of mildew and must, especially upon entering the door. The AC unit was also really noisy for some reason, but still it was manageable. It’s not even that the room was terrible, but it most definitely did need to be updated. The shower stayed hot and the bathroom was stocked with towels & washcloths. Our bed was pretty comfortable and I liked the sofa by the window in our room overlooking the pool. There was closet space, complimentary coffee & tea, a microwave & fridge, extra cups & a set of mugs, a desk, and a smart TV in our room as well. Like I said, it wasn’t too bad. There were just a few things that needed work.

I'd like to give a shout out to Courtney at the Hyatt House Bryan TX location! I was doing some walk in marketing to promote our business Omni-Pros Restoration and was greeted by Courtney at the front desk. she was incredibly friendly (usually you don't get greeted with smiles if you're trying to meet and greet new people like this!), she represented the establishment very well and they are lucky to have her working for them! Thank you Courtney for making it less awkward for a new guy trying to navigate through marketing!

The only thing keeping me from a 5 star is that there were bugs in the hallway and in our bathroom. Otherwise, very clean room. Friendly staff, great breakfast.
