This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I do not recommend staying here, especially if you expect to feel secure in your reservation. We checked in around 3:00 PM and were assigned a room. While we were showering before dinner, someone entered our room without warning, which was unsettling. At the time, we assumed it was a mistake and did not pursue it further. After dinner, we returned to our room around 11:54 PM to watch the New Year’s Eve fireworks, only to find that our key cards no longer worked. As a result, we missed the fireworks entirely. When we asked for assistance, the security guard was hostile, and the front desk employee stated she did not know what was happening. We were exhausted and simply wanted access to the room we had already checked into, with all of our belongings inside. Security eventually had to let us into the room personally, as our keys were never fixed. At 1:30 AM, we received a call instructing us to come to the front desk to “confirm” our reservation. At that point, we were informed that the hotel had double-booked the room. Instead of taking responsibility for their error, the staff blamed us and forcibly removed us from the hotel at 2:00 AM on New Year’s Eve. Our card information had already been charged, yet no alternative room was offered, no apology was given, and no effort was made to resolve the situation appropriately. The staff’s behavior throughout this incident was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. This was a serious mistake on the hotel’s part, and their attempt to avoid responsibility made the situation even worse.
