Hyatt Regency Coral Gables

We stayed here for four nights, starting on New Year's Eve. The staff was absolutely incredible across the board. We were greeted with such hospitality, and even a glass of prosecco! Everyone we encountered over our stay was professional, kind, and genuinely wanting to help. My girls loved the breakfast, especially, and the rooftop pool. We will definitely return to stay here for any future trips to the area!

I want to start by saying that I never leave bad reviews. I stay often in hotels I have status at Marriott Hyatt and Hilton. Even when the stay is less than stellar if I prefer not to say anything and to try to do harm to a business. I'm breaking that rule today with this hotel. Never in my life in 30 years of staying in hotels for business and pleasure have I ever had a more terrible experience from a financial standpoint then at this hotel. Not only that the lack of concern and empathy from both the hotel and the Hyatt Corporation is flabbergasting. I stayed at this hotel from December 26th to January 1st I used two cards to book the room. Over the course of the next 5 days they kept adding additional holds to the card without any reason whatsoever to the point where by the time I checked out of the hotel on the 1st I had over 4,500 in holds on my card, for a stay that was 3300. On Monday half holds were removed and another charge for the full 3384 was made to my account and this is with $1,600 of hold still on the account so 6 days later Hyatt still had me underwater by $1,600 over the cost of the room stay. Never in all my life have I seen a hotel do this. I called the hotel the front desk clerk was unable to help she was kind but she was unable to help told me that we had to wait for accounting to come in which would have been today I called Hyatt corporate and after 45 minutes on the phone the answer was the same have to wait for accounting on the hotel to come in the next day. It's now the next day 3:00 in the afternoon the accounting team has not called me some of the holds dropped off but there's still $900 of holds on my card and I've had no resolution from Hyatt and no apology from Hyatt. not even attempt to offer me any kind of incentive to help me remain a Hyatt client. So that's my story. Still waiting on a resolution to this. still waiting on a phone call. still waiting on something from Hyatt to try to keep me as a customer. But as of right now I will never stay at a Hyatt again, will cancel my world of Hyatt account, and make it clear to anyone I know I will as well as my company that Hyatt should no longer be an option for corporate or personal stays. Sorry to say this after all these years but my recommendation is if you do stay at a Hyatt check your bills, don't use cards that could be towards their limit, and if you have a problem don't expect it Hyatt it's going to fix it.
