IF I COULD GIVE A HALF A STAR I WOULD!. First of all I paid for a room with a lake and/or a city view and what i got was a window that showed mothing but steam from the giant air conditioning units that were literally 10 feet from the window. As well as the ridiculously awful view there was mold on the ceiling of the shower, and on top of all of that the condensation of the ac units outside made the window in the room start to leak water on the inside of the room. LITERALLY POOLS OF WATER ON THE WINDOW SEAL AND THERE WAS A ELECTRICAL OUTLET RIGHT BELOW IT! ON TOP OF ALL OF THAT WHEN I ADDRESSED IT TO THE FRONT DESK THEY SIMPLY SAID OK WE WILL CONTACT MAINTENANCE AND TOLD ME TO HAVE A NICE DAY! ARE YOU KIDDING ME! IVE SEEN RED ROOF INNS THAT ARE BETTER THAN THIS SMH!

College friends and I flew into Chicago to watch the Minnesota Gophers play Northwestern in football at Wrigley Field in November 2025. We ended up staying at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place. This was based on a recommendation from my sister-in-law who had a colleague running the show at the hotel. The experience was awesome. The staff were friendly and courteous. The rooms were really nice and comfortable. The hotel facilities were top-notch - with, again, helpful and accommodating service providers. And, there was easy access to public transportation. My friends and I had a wonderful trip and would wholeheartedly recommend the Hyatt Regency McCormick place to all visitors to Chicago.

Very practical hotel that does exactly what it is meant to do. Rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, with great views of the lake or skyline depending on where you stay. Everything feels efficient and well organized. The direct connection to McCormick Place is a huge advantage if you are attending a conference or event. Service is professional and smooth, though more businesslike than warm. The location is quiet at night, which is nice, but it also means you are a bit removed from restaurants and nightlife.
