The mattresses were hard as a rock. The pillows were flat. The sheets were uncomfortable. The rooms were dirty. I've had to stay here a dozen times for work as an airline pilot, and I stay in 4 different hotels a week! And this hotel SUCKS. Invest some money in fixing the damn rooms! It's also very loud with the road traffic, but I guess I can't blame the hotel for that one. They could have invested in better sound proofing.

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency for six nights over Christmas. While there were positives (the staff was friendly and helpful, the hotel is spacious, the breakfast is excellent, and the Miami location is convenient), we would not stay here again. One of the biggest issues was inconsistent hot water: on multiple days, our showers were not hot enough to be comfortable. Reliable hot water is a basic expectation, especially for a hotel at this price point. Additionally, only 3 of the 5 elevators were functioning. When cruise passengers were staying at the hotel, this caused significant congestion. We experienced long waits (up to 7 min), had to use the service elevator once, and even rode up before going down because all elevators were full. There is no accessible staircase for regular use, which added to the frustration. Finally, the noise was a major problem—both from nearby planes and, more significantly, from the drawbridge and heavy traffic. The room provides earplugs and a white noise machine, which is nice, but also signals how loud it is. We were not aware of this noise issue before booking. Room orientation and floor level may make a difference, but unfortunately, we did not have that option.
