We stayed here on 2/22 during an incredibly stressful situation — my 86-year-old mother had fallen and broken her leg and needed surgery the next morning. With a storm approaching, we chose to stay close to the hospital. She was wheelchair-bound, and managing everything was not easy. The staff was extraordinary. A young man in the parking area immediately stepped in to help with all of our luggage. A manager (short blonde haircut) personally made sure we were settled and comfortable. The next morning, two security guards dropped what they were doing and kindly helped me get my mother safely into the car. Every interaction was warm, professional, and compassionate. In a very difficult moment, their team made all the difference. Truly grateful for the care and kindness we experienced here.

I have stayed here a number of times over the past few years. Their maintenance is really a huge issue. From recurring elevator failures to bathroom doors, in-room fridges or other room features that are falling apart, this hotel that could be wonderful keeps disappointing.

Stayed at the Hyatt Regency Morristown in February 2025 as a World of Hyatt Globalist and had one of the most disappointing Hyatt experiences I’ve had in years. Globalist members are guaranteed a 4 PM late checkout at standard (non-resort) properties. This hotel refused to honor any late checkout at all and required me to leave at 11 AM sharp, citing occupancy. Occupancy is not an exception in the program terms. The benefit exists precisely so elite members aren’t rushed out regardless of how busy the hotel is. What made this especially upsetting is the context: I arrived directly from the hospital after saying goodbye to a family member who happened to die while I was visiting. I hoped for a few additional hours of rest before traveling. Instead, the front desk was dismissive and unwilling to even try to accommodate a published elite benefit. I understand hotels get busy. I don’t understand ignoring clearly defined loyalty benefits or treating guests without empathy. I waited to leave this review because I was too upset in the moment. If you rely on elite recognition when choosing a hotel, this property does not follow World of Hyatt standards.
