The hotel and its facilities are beautiful, and the location is excellent—very close to the city center, the train station, and other key areas. The breakfast team is particularly lovely: polite, welcoming, and attentive. However, the prices at this hotel are beyond unreasonable. The food is extremely overpriced, even by Swiss standards, and the quality does not justify the cost. For example, they charge CHF 7 just to bring ice to your room—something many lower-category hotels offer for free. While some staff members are friendly, the room service and restaurant teams are often surprisingly rude and cold, creating a very inconsistent experience. Overall, I would recommend staying at this hotel for the comfort and convenience of its location, but avoid eating here unless you’re comfortable overspending on bland, flavorless food and dealing with rude service staff.

I stayed here for a couple nights while visiting Zurich and applied a suite upgrade award for the Regency Suite. The staff were friendly at check in, went over the property amenities with me and added 4pm late checkout without any problem. The room was pretty spacious, the entryway led into the living room area with a large couch. The TV didn’t swivel though unfortunately, so it was at an angle when watching it. There’s a desk/closet area in between the living room and bedroom, which I worked from, but it didn’t get much sunlight even in the day since the curtains take up most of the space between the desk and the window. The main bathroom has a large soaking tub and a shower with rainfall shower head. There’s a separate area for the toilet with a door, and there’s a second toilet in the living room as well. Both have bidet functionality too, which was great to see. The AC was a little difficult to use, it seemed like I had to keep turning it back on after I left and came back to the room. I also couldn’t get the auto setting to work, but luckily the fans are quiet enough that I could leave it running all the time. The regency club is pretty good place to work or relax, it has plenty of different seating options along with semi private conference rooms. The evening snacks were pretty light and not enough for a makeshift meal though. Globalist breakfast is served in the main restaurant and it’s a pretty standard buffet. I found it to be fine, but not notable. There weren’t really any special or unique items available and some things weren’t cooked the best, like the bacon being overcooked and the potatoes being undercooked. The location is fantastic if you’re looking for a quick stay before heading to the airport, but I found it to be a little inconvenient if you’re using it as a base to explore around since it’s a 5-10 minute walk to a 10-20 minute train to get you from the airport to central station, where you can then go to where you need to go. I also didn’t love the available food options around, both in terms of variety and quality.
