Ibagari Boutique Hotel

Resort and service was nice. We booked Ibagari because it was adults only for 26th anniversary.We were very disappointed to find toddlers at pool and area I front of our room screaming.

We spent five nights at Ibagari Boutique Hotel and it absolutely delivered. The property is well run, well designed, and operates at a very high standard from arrival to departure. Luis and Christopher at the concierge desk set the tone immediately. They were efficient, knowledgeable, and proactive. They handled transportation, island logistics, and activity coordination without us ever having to chase anything down. Everything worked the way it should — which, in my experience, is the true mark of a quality operation. The resort fee includes water taxis until 6 pm, which made getting around the island simple and convenient. That perk alone adds a lot of value and flexibility to the stay. Luna Muna, the onsite restaurant, is excellent. Strong breakfast, very good dinners, creative specials, and a solid Sunday brunch. Service across the property is dialed in. Whether we were at the pool, beach, or outside our room, water showed up quickly and consistently. Norma and Sara provided outstanding poolside service — attentive, professional, and always on it. We dove four of our five days with Duna Divers, and the dive operation is first class. It’s located right on property and is run extremely well. Gear is set up for you, prepped on the boat, rinsed every evening — no hassle, no scrambling. It’s efficient and organized, exactly what you want when you’re diving multiple days in a row. Our boat captain, Keenu, handled every drop and drift pickup smoothly and confidently. Current dives can get chaotic if the captain isn’t sharp — that was not the case here. Pickups were seamless every time. Our dive guide, Agustina, was excellent. She was knowledgeable, safety-focused, and delivered the best equipment setup and overall dive support we’ve experienced at a resort operation. She runs a tight ship underwater and topside. The dive sites themselves offered strong biodiversity, impressive swim-throughs, and great variety across the days. After dives, you can step off the dock and walk a few feet to an onsite jacuzzi — and within minutes someone is there with water or a cold cerveza. It’s a smart layout that makes the whole experience easy. Ibagari combines high-end accommodations, strong food, professional service, and a top-tier dive operation in one location. If you’re looking for a well-executed tropical stay with serious diving, this place is worth it. We would absolutely recommend it.

The staff takes care of absolutely everything — setting up gear, prepping it on the boat, rinsing it each evening. We felt completely cared for both in and out of the water. The dive sites offered excellent diversity and were stunning. Great swim through and good biodiversity. After divea, you can walk just a few steps from the dock to one of the onsite jacuzzis to relax — and within moments, staff appear with water (and cervezas!) to complete the experience. The combination of luxury, personalized service, exceptional dining, and world-class diving makes Ibagari a standout destination. We would recommend this property to anyone looking for an elevated, seamless tropical experience.
