A colleague booked this hotel for me. It was my first time staying at an ibis Budget – and certainly my last. The rooms are generally clean. However, the lighting wasn't working properly. There are no power outlets by the bed, which is absolutely not ideal for someone with sleep apnea and a CPAP machine. The TV had no signal. There was no hairdryer in the room. A minor issue, but not ideal if you don't know about it. The roller shutter is broken. There's an electric car charging station in the garage – but it doesn't work. Even though the receptionist said it should be working, I was told in the morning that they knew it wasn't working. They suggested they could simply put up a sign saying "Out of Order." I mentioned the problems in the morning and was then told that I should have reported them the previous evening, in which case I would have been given a different room. But at midnight, I can't report any non-essential issues that should have been noticed during a routine cleaning check. Breakfast is generally okay. However, the boiled eggs are cold and the coffee is bitter.
