Ibis Muenchen Parkstadt Schwabing

In our opinion, this hotel is ideal for a short stay of one or two nights. The rooms are clean and comfortable, but fairly basic in terms of amenities. The staff is welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help. The nearest metro station is a little over a ten-minute walk away; however, a tram stop just a few minutes away provides easy access to the city center or the train station with a metro connection.

The hotel's location is excellent, the area is stunning, and the place is quite welcoming. However, we found a dirty duvet the first night, but since it was late, we called the housekeeping staff the following morning so as not to disturb anyone. They told us they'd call the cleaning lady right away to change it, but that evening we found the same dirty duvet again. We asked the receptionist for an explanation, and the staff member told us the only thing they could do was give us another one and change it ourselves, leaving the dirty one on the floor outside. They gave us a single duvet for a double room, so we went back down and asked for a double, but they didn't have one. So on the second night, we slept with two single duvets, having agreed that they'd provide us with a clean double the following morning. On the third day, we removed the two singles and put them with the dirty towels that were on the floor. We returned in the afternoon and found the two singles back on the bed. We went down to reception again, and they told us the housekeeping staff would come right away to change them for us. I had to wait to rest on the afternoon of December 31st because they hadn't changed my duvet for three days, which was dirty from the start. Sorry, terrible service.

+ Friendly service staff + Very tasty breakfast + Breakfast served until 11:00 AM on weekends + The bed is nice and large, comfortable, and firm + 5 minutes to the tram towards the city center - No power outlets around the entire bed (very annoying if you want to charge your phone and use it as an alarm clock at the same time, or plug in a heating pad) - Rooms are heated by small air conditioners and are freezing cold when you arrive (takes about 24 hours to warm up) - The breakfast room is also extremely cold. It's best to eat there wearing a jacket and hat. - The bathroom is like a camper van and has been added to the room as an afterthought (everything is plastic, more like a wet room). - The sink drains poorly. - The bathroom can't be heated and is freezing cold. - Upon arrival, there was no information about breakfast (time) at reception/in the elevator/in the room (it had to be painstakingly researched via QR code on the website and several clicks). - There was no information about the hotel in the room (snacks, breakfast, leisure activities, Munich area, etc.). - My room was quite noisy, and a neighbor insisted on constantly opening the windows and the bathroom door (which is plastic and therefore noisy) after midnight. Overall, 2 stars, not 3, because basic amenities are missing that have nothing to do with luxury or added value. It's a shame, as I've stayed at several Ibis hotels and have always been very satisfied. However, the price-performance ratio here isn't right for me.
