The stay was quite different from what we expected when booking, especially considering the photos. Unfortunately, the overall experience ended up being disappointing. It gave the impression that the hotel is currently in a period of strong cost containment. In several common areas, including the breakfast area, the air conditioners were off. In the Rio de Janeiro heat, this makes the experience quite uncomfortable. During our stay, there was also only one elevator working. The internet was probably the most problematic point. In the room it didn't work at all, and in the common areas there were several different networks that dropped all the time, requiring you to constantly switch networks. As I was traveling for work, this ended up making my day-to-day life quite difficult. The pool experience wasn't very pleasant either, as there was loud music playing continuously. In a space that is normally intended for relaxation, it would be nice to allow for a more neutral environment. When you want to listen to music, you usually look for a bar or another place where you can choose the style. At the hotel pool you are forced to listen to pagode and sofrência (Brazilian samba-like music), be prepared. In the room, the TV didn't work. The air conditioning cooled well, but it was noisy. Furthermore, the room is very small and the bed and pillows were quite uncomfortable—something that deviates somewhat from what one normally expects from a hotel. Overall, the experience was quite different from what we imagined after seeing the photos and reading the reviews on hotels.com. The hotel has potential, but currently some important aspects need improvement.

The rooms were acceptable. The Wi-Fi signal was weak. The service was fine, but they didn't try to communicate (we speak Spanish). The breakfast had little variety. And I found hairs a few times. The location is a bit far from the center of Barra; we had to walk 10 minutes to the metro and it didn't seem very safe. It's at least a 20-minute walk to the beach.
