Be aware of... I do not understand how the bar and its waiters have 72% positive review. But, anyway, for me and my cousins, we had a terrible experience with the waiters and the owner also. All of them made mistakes after mistakes not only they did not give us any menu to look and see what the bar had to offer, but they did not tell us the price of what we ordered, and they could not provide us with the receipt that includes the charges of drinks and taxes. From the discussion that we had with the owner, we understood that the restaurant was working without register and on top of all of this they thought that we were foreigners which means that this place does not respect anyone, steals and cheats from the honest customers with high prices, bad service, and unprofessional from top to bottom. This entity does not deserve any stars, likes, or approvals on the customer service in the food and beverages industry.

Our stay at the Iliria International in Durrës was overall very pleasant and improved from day to day. Special mention goes to the friendly and always helpful staff, who were attentive to all our needs and always willing to listen – from quickly arranging a taxi to everyday requests. The warm nature of the staff contributed significantly to making us feel more and more at home. The hotel's location is excellent – right on the sea – and the beach bar is a real highlight. It was by far the most beautiful and well-maintained in the area, with a relaxed atmosphere and very good service. The loungers provided were also clean and comfortable. The rooms were clean, albeit with minor flaws: The electricity cards didn't always work reliably. One bed creaked loudly, another was quite narrow at 80 cm wide. The water wasn't consistently hot, but this can depend on the time of day. There was little storage space or hanging options. The shower heads were calcified and looked somewhat unkempt. On the positive side, it was that the hand and bath towels were changed daily, and the overall cleaning was very thorough. Breakfast was initially simple and lacking in variety, but for the last three days, it was served to order – and that was excellent. The quality, taste, and selection were significantly better, which greatly enhanced the overall impression. Small areas for improvement include the outdoor amenities (missing foot shower and waste bins) and the information about the enclosed terrace, which was still shown as open in the booking photos. The restaurant on the ground floor offered good food at local prices, and the staff here were also very accommodating. Conclusion: A clean, well-located hotel with exceptionally friendly staff and one of the nicest beach bars in Durrës. Thanks to the visible improvements during our stay and the excellent breakfast at the end, we give it 4 out of 5 stars – and would return.
