Stayed 3 nights at Hotel Indigo Tokyo Shibuya. Overall 9/10. One of the best hotels we stayed at during the trip. Even the standard room felt spacious by Tokyo standards. Staff were helpful and spoke fluent English. Location is unbeatable in the heart of Shibuya — very lively and convenient. There’s a 24-hour Ichiran nearby, and a 24-hour Don Quijote right across the street. There’s also another Don Quijote in the same building (lower floors), which makes last-minute shopping extremely easy. Minor downsides: you need to take two elevators (up to level 12 reception, then transfer to your room floor), the gym is very small (basically just a treadmill), and it can be a bit noisy due to the Shibuya location. Still, an excellent stay overall.

The Perfect Gateway for Tokyo Beginners – Modern, Convenient, and Iconic I took a direct train from Narita Airport to Shibuya Station and reached the hotel within a 10-minute walk. The location is unbeatable—just 5 minutes from the famous Shibuya Scramble, surrounded by countless restaurants and shops. For those visiting Tokyo for the first time, I believe this is the absolute best location. The lobby is on the 12th floor and the restaurant is on the 11th. Every staff member I encountered was fluent in English and exceptionally kind. While my Deluxe Room was still quite compact, it was manageable considering Tokyo’s standards. Since the building is brand new, everything felt fresh and pleasant. One of the biggest perks is the convenience: there is a Mega Don Quijote in the basement, and another 7-story giant Don Quijote just across the street. I highly recommend this place to anyone, though keep in mind that Tokyo’s hotel rates can be quite high.

Despite requesting a rollaway bed in advance, one was not provided on our first night. When we then asked for an extra blanket, it was never delivered. As a result, a child had to sleep on the couch using a bathrobe that was already in the room. This was very disappointing. The location, however, was excellent.
