Such a disappointing stay. Location and rooms are great, but everything else is at best 3 star. Customer service is nowhere to be found: - No instructions given whatsoever on arrival, so we were wandering around waiting for the room. - Luggages were taken to a secret place, so inaccessible that we couldn't take beach wear and enjoy the permises. - Anyone working at the hotel is only there for 1-3 months which of course is nice as the staff is young and bubbly, but not trained for 5 stars hospitality. - Impossible to somewhat speak to a manager. Everything is charged at luxury 5 stars prices which is understandable looking at the remote location this hotel is in, however at these prices, quality needs to be irreproachable. - Yet food was mediocre. We spend 100€ between us two at every meal. - Yet the pool was always dirty / never cleaned. - House keeping was very random. - Some of the staff was very rude // incapable to deal with frustration they were causing themselves. - We are told checkout is at 10:00am which is earlier than anywhere else on planet earth and told no late checkout as guests arrived early but at the same time no checkin was guaranteed before 3pm??? And the cherry on top: - We were booked on a tour that we never confirmed after I told the concierge team to hold off and even after coming back 3 hours later to confirm we didn't want to do this tour at that time, we were awoken the next morning saying that we'd lost the tour and the hotel would charge us with the 500 AUD. - After trying to get to the bottom of this, I was called rude the day after by the "concierge manager" that was not even there to witness the conversation. Wouldn't you be pissed if you were wrongly charged this kind of money??? Very inconsistent over the board which reflects the previous comments. This place should be downgraded to 4 stars at best.

This was, without question, the worst 5-star hotel I have ever stayed in. I have travelled extensively across Europe, the Americas, and Asia for both work and leisure, and this experience fell far below any reasonable 5-star standard especially disappointing as it was our honeymoon. From the start, the experience was disorganised. We had emailed the hotel in advance with our arrival time, yet upon arrival we were informed we were booked on a later boat, creating immediate confusion and stress. Once we finally arrived at the hotel, we were forced to wait three hours for our room, despite seeing many other guests check in earlier. The following day, a serious issue occurred: due to a misunderstanding by the staff, we were booked onto a tour that we had never confirmed in writing. Nevertheless, we were charged €300, and despite explaining the situation, there was nothing we could do to reverse the charge. This lack of accountability was extremely frustrating and unprofessional. Dining was another major disappointment. All restaurants on the property require advance reservations at all times, yet there are no alternative dining options on the island. Arriving at any of the four restaurants without a booking, regardless of the time of day, results in poor reception and an unwelcoming attitude from staff. Finally, checkout was rigid and inhospitable. Checkout is set at 10:00 am, which is unusually early for a luxury resort. We requested a noon checkout and were refused. Only after insisting multiple times was an 11:00 am checkout reluctantly granted,again, not what one expects from a hotel claiming 5-star service. It felt as though much of the staff were on a “working holiday” rather than trained hospitality professionals, resulting in a consistent lack of customer service, flexibility, and attention to detail. Overall, this hotel does not come close to delivering a true luxury experience. For a property marketing itself as 5-star especially for special occasions like honeymoons,this level of service is unacceptable.

7 star pricing with 2.5 star service. 5 day stay very relaxing place to be BUT.... Pricing is so over the top O. Everything.. Tried all restraunts Aqua Pool bar. Management very bubbly but service is crap wait time is unacceptable and staff seem to be on training. Not good Pacific great breakfast dinner is good but has to ask 4 time for coffees. before they could deliver Amici great pizza but overpriced also the private experience is not worth the time or money. The lights wouldn't work so we are in th dark. But they were happy to take the $759 with no discounts meat was average for an mb 7 steak. Bsmbam great food Bbq buffet meat was average Rooms were not ready on arrival and no set times for housekeeping. Somewhere between 9:00 and 5:00 p.m. which for a five-star place is unacceptable. The only bright light was the French girl on the front desk. That was absolutely amazing and also the experience team which includes Josh on the jet skis and the trip to Whitehaven. A lot of work for the intercontinental to do to get this resort up to standard.. you is fantastic. Everything else needs a lot of work.
