We recently stayed at the InterContinental Sydney Double Bay and the experience was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. The hotel itself is stunning — elegant, peaceful and beautifully maintained — but what truly sets it apart is the extraordinary level of care and service from the staff. A very special thank you to Veronica, who went above and beyond in the most meaningful way. My daughter had just undergone surgery, and Veronica (reception manager) thoughtfully organised roses, a teddy bear, and books to be sent up to our room. It was such a compassionate and personal gesture that meant more to us than words can express. In a moment when comfort and kindness mattered most, she delivered both with genuine warmth and grace. It’s rare to find service that feels so heartfelt and sincere. Veronica’s attention to detail and empathy turned an already lovely stay into something we will always remember. We are incredibly grateful and would not hesitate to return. Thank you for making a challenging time so much brighter.

Such a disappointing experience. The room and hallways look like they’re falling apart (paint chipped, warped wall paper). The restaurant/bar was understaffed. Room and common area bathrooms were filthy. Double charges on the account at check out. You can tell IHG are not investing any money in the hotel so I certainly won’t be returning until it’s knock down and rebuild
