Great hotel with excellent service. Everything was very clean and well-maintained. Rooms were cleaned and prepared perfectly every day. All the staff were very friendly. Food and drinks were always plentiful, and there was also table service at the pool and on the beach. The evening buffet offered a wide selection. We had no problems with diarrhea. The cake for dessert was delicious, but the other desserts were either too sweet or not sweet enough. The beach is lovely with a shallow entry for children and a place to dig. However, the sand is relatively coarse. You often see fish while snorkeling, but the reef in Coraya Bay is generally in a sorry state. There's a small children's playground on the grounds. The nearby water park was the highlight for the children and is included, even with food and drinks. Some of the pools in the water park and the hotel are heated.

JAZ Solaya – a good hotel, but not a "top 5*" as the reviews say The hotel is okay and honestly deserves a solid 4* (maximum 4.5*), but in my opinion, it's not at the level of a top 5-star resort, as one might think based on Google ratings. I also have the impression that a large portion of the reviews are artificially inflated – bought/generated or "pulled" from guests by the entertainment staff. Interestingly, it's really clear which reviews are unnatural. I'm a bit surprised that Google still doesn't handle this well, even though AI is everywhere these days and such things should be easier to spot. Cons: Breakfasts are monotonous (very similar every day). The other food is decent, but lacks the "wow" factor – I expected more for a 5* hotel. Some of the rooms before the renovation: dark and unpleasant. The newer rooms are OK, but nothing special. The entertainment is very poor – it's a real waste of time (they could easily limit or eliminate it). Overall, at times, it feels like the hotel is just ticking off items rather than delivering them to a truly high standard. We also had a one-day stomach bug – nothing serious, but still: "Sramses attacked" 😉 Pros: Beautiful, well-kept greenery and a very nicely decorated hotel grounds – this is a 5* hotel: plenty of space and a generally very pleasant atmosphere. Clean and tidy. The service is efficient, unobtrusive, and everything runs smoothly. Nice reef. Large grounds: the hotel grounds aren't crowded, so you can easily find quiet, peaceful spots and relax without the noise. Nice water park. A nice touch at the end: we received a small gift from the hotel upon departure – a small thing, but it makes us happy. In summary: it's a good hotel, but it's a shame about the "overkill" reviews. For less money, you can find a true 5-star hotel with better food and standards. I give it 3 stars on Google—it should really be 4, but I'm keeping it at 3 to at least compensate for the inflated average.
