Not a good start into this years season. Our stay started off quite disappointingly. After checking in around 12:30 pm, we immediately realized that the air conditioning in our room was not functioning properly and the room was uncomfortably cold. A technician came and was very friendly and helpful, but the issue dragged on for hours without an immediate solution. What was particularly frustrating was that a large part of our afternoon was lost because of this. Instead of enjoying the hotel and settling in, we had to wait, follow up, and keep dealing with the problem. At a hotel of this category, I would expect a much faster and more solution-oriented response in a situation like this. To be fair, the hotel eventually arranged a room change (after we’ve asked for it) and also offered us a complimentary massage, which we do appreciate. That was a nice gesture and showed an effort to make up for the inconvenience. Still, the overall impression remains that the start of our stay was unnecessarily frustrating and that the handling of the issue initially felt more reactive than truly service-oriented. Very Friendly staff and a later goodwill gesture certainly help, but they do not change the fact that a noticeable part of our relaxation time was lost.
