WIFI in the conference area is disgraceful. Come on Marriott!!! It's 2026 and people need to work during their conferences. What do you have, dial-up? I can't download attachments or open email because it keeps "timing out". If you're thinking of reserving the conference facilities, go somewhere where they actually have working internet.

I was there for a conference over the weekend. Five pallets of products had to be brought to the meeting rooms on the 2nd floor on hotel carts because their service elevator was broken. The stay itself was nice, but the broken service elevator really delayed setup.

What a disappointment. We were so excited to book this trip to Atlanta and stay at the luxurious JW Marriott with so many wonderful reviews. As a previous flight attendant, I am very well traveled; especially in staying in many different hotels all across the world. My husband and I traveled with our young children and were unfortunately met with many disappointments during our two nights here. We arrived about 7 PM and upon opening the suite door it was musky and hot. Very stagnant air and the room temperature was 74 so I thought let’s bump it down to 69 just to cool the room off. Even though it was snowing outside our room got over 75°. These rooms are 300 ft.² with no ventilation. If even one person took a shower the room fills up with steam and no air fan in the bathroom to help circulate. Of course, no window is accessible to crack, either. I would stand with the door open into the hallway and try to get some of that cooler air into our room after our showers. I found it odd that the AC unit did not have your traditional “heat or cool” switch and it would not go down below 66, it was a main control for all of the rooms. We woke up several times that night because it was so hot and the room was still over 70° ( it absolutely had to be hotter than that and the temperature on the panel was incorrect ) so we called down and they said they would lower the main control temperature. The AC still did not work so maintenance came up and we found out our compressor was not working- all of this took at least two hours of our day to be at the mercy of when the maintenance person could come up. We ended up having to switch rooms at 10 PM. Definitely not ideal with traveling with children. The new room was cooler and actually showed the exact same temperature as our previous room, but it was not stagnant and musky. Within an hour, heat was blowing nonstop even set at the lowest temperature possible. The nighttime maintenance worker was unaware of how to lower down the panel so at 11 PM. He finally just brought us a box fan and we turned off the unit. The sheets were extremely rough and very poor quality. The overall hotel is very outdated just a very unfortunate situation for how much money we spent. The front desk did all they could do, but I have been compensated at a Holiday Inn Express for lesser inconveniences, but nothing was done at this establishment. Almost as if this happens often and they no longer give anything to guests for being subpar. Even a few reward points would have been something. But nope, nothing was done. That to me speaks volumes, especially with a big name like JW Marriott. We will be back to Atlanta, but definitely not to this hotel.
