I stayed at the JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square Seoul, and overall I was very satisfied with the hotel. Its excellent location, right in front of Dongdaemun Subway Station, makes it convenient for sightseeing and shopping. The lobby had a luxurious feel, the staff were very courteous, and I had a pleasant stay from the moment I checked in. The rooms were spacious, with windows offering a spectacular view of Dongdaemun's historic scenery. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the amenities were of high quality. The breakfast buffet was extensive, offering a variety of dishes from Korean to Western, which was a nice plus. However, there were a few disappointing aspects. First, there were very few staff members who spoke Japanese, so communication was primarily in English. Those who are not good at English may find it a bit intimidating. And while the club lounge was open, the offerings were somewhat lacking. In particular, alcohol was only served between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM, making it difficult to use if the timings didn't suit me. The selection of snacks and drinks was limited, and it felt more like a rest area than a lounge. Still, the quality of the facilities and the comfort of the rooms are very high, and there is no doubt that this hotel will make your stay in Seoul special. I would like to use it again next time, hoping that the club lounge will be improved.
