We recently stayed at the JW Marriott (Vittal Mallya Road) for two nights (Feb 6th-8th) to celebrate our anniversary. Since we're a Gold Member and having just purchased the Club Marriott membership, we were looking forward to using its benefits during this stay. Room & Stay Experience The room itself was decent and comfortable. The view was good and the balcony made it even better. However, the front desk staff appeared to have limited to no training regarding Club Marriott membership benefits. Any queries about inclusions were met with uncertainty, and we were repeatedly directed to contact customer care instead of being assisted on-site. Dining Experience The membership includes up to 50% discount at hotel restaurants. When we planned dinner, we were informed that the restaurant (Alba) was closed due to a wedding event and therefore unavailable. This is something that should ideally be communicated at the time of booking. Making restaurant reservations was also unnecessarily difficult. When calling from the room, the hotel reservations team seemed unaware of whether the restaurant was operational. We were promised call-backs that never came through, and ultimately had to visit the restaurant in person to secure a reservation. Spa & Other Amenities The membership includes a complimentary couples’ head massage. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst spa experiences we’ve had. The staff were not welcoming and gave the impression that they were doing us a favor rather than providing a service. There is also a salon at the property, but due to a private event, it was not accessible to other guests. This felt unfair and poorly managed. Anniversary Experience Our booking clearly mentioned that we were celebrating our anniversary, and we reiterated this at check-in and while requesting for seats at the restaurants. Despite that, there was no special gesture or acknowledgment. For a brand known for hospitality, this was disappointing. On comparing this experience to Taj West End or JW Marriott Prestige Golfshire, JW Marriott UB did not even try to make our stay any special. It felt purely transactional. What Went Well The lounge experience was a highlight of our stay. Nishanth, the lounge manager, went out of his way to make our experience pleasant and welcoming. The breakfast spread was also excellent and well-curated. This has not been our first stay at a Marriott property, but this particular hotel felt average and lacking in service consistency. The property appears to need better internal coordination and training, especially regarding Club Marriott benefits and restaurant reservations. Based on our experience, we would recommend carefully evaluating the Club Marriott membership before purchasing. If you are considering a stay, you may want to explore other Marriott properties in Bangalore. PS. The only reason I'm writing a Google review is because I haven't been able to get the hotel to reshare the survey link after requests sent over email. I missed sharing this feedback on the original link sent via email since I was traveling.

UNETHICAL BEHAVIOR WITH HUMILIATION Mr Deep was very unpleasant over call and rude. Later to apologies he came along a lady (reporting manger) where both was sarcastic with the situation! Awe fully they spoiled our evening and it’s highly non recommended for Mr Deep to handle lounge when we have wide range of national and international clients and guests in JW Am sure his face value will just add black dot for the company today n in future ! IF YOU WANT TO SPOIL YOUR TIME THEN THIS LOUNGE IS THE RIGGGGGHT PLACE TO VISIT UNPROFESSIONAL ATTITUDE AND BEHAVIOR
