I got to see the bonito grilled over straw right in front of me! The dinner course and breakfast buffet were both delicious, and the bath was spacious and very nice. The service from the front desk and hotel staff was also very pleasant. The only thing I was disappointed with was the room cleaning. There was a huge amount of dust on the ceiling... (all over the recessed areas due to the design...) (Sorry for my poor explanations) Other than that, everything was great!! I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Kochi Prefecture.

Our much-anticipated trip ended in disappointment. A few days before our stay, we reserved multiple bicycles via email (broadcast on the Jyoseikan website), and received a confirmation email from the hotel confirming the number of bicycles and the time slots. Despite this, when we arrived at the hotel's front desk on the day, we were shocked to receive a reply: "One of the bicycles is already rented." We were assisted by a foreign female staff member and two older male staff members. The female staff member only offered a curt, almost a nod, and no polite apology whatsoever. If one of the reserved bicycles was missing, the other person would have to "walk" or "run." When we expressed our disappointment, the female staff member again offered a surprising alternative: "There's the tram." She didn't offer to cover the fare, and the staff member simply watched, seemingly as if it were none of our business. The male staff member didn't offer any follow-up or follow-up, and simply watched from the sidelines. In the end, we rented a bicycle even though we were missing one, and only one of us in our group decided to run around the city, leaving us with a terrible trip memory. Although it was entirely the hotel's fault, their subsequent response was completely unacceptable and not what you'd expect from a 4-star hotel. When I checked out, I was given a few sweets to take with me, but I realized that they had no understanding of the feelings of travelers, and my anger rose up again. My trip, which I had been looking forward to for several months, was ruined, and the hotel's regulations were clearly visible, so I will never use this hotel again.
