The view of the Sea of Japan and Mihonoseki from the room is a feast for the eyes. The food is delicious and filling. From the indoor hot spring, you can see the Sea of Japan and Mihonoseki illuminated by the beautiful morning sun through the glass.

This hotel evokes the heyday of Kaike Onsen. It was conveniently located, and the ocean-view view from our room was spectacular. However, upon entering the room, there was a strange smell, like toilet air freshener (or disinfectant?), and the bathroom door was poorly fitted, making a loud noise every time it opened and closed, which was very unpleasant. Additionally, the guest rooms and hallways are old, and since the entire building is not air-conditioned, the hallways are very cold in winter. You'll get cold walking from the public bath to your room, and wearing a yukata or hanten to the dining area was out of the question. The food was a half-buffet, a combination of pre-prepared items and buffet-style dishes, but there were very few hot dishes, and the desserts were simple, with only two varieties (no fruit). While this may be understandable considering the price, I would have preferred a warmer meal in winter.

A nice resort hotel with decent dinner menu/buffet style, and osen experience for guests. The rooms are quite old and dated, but they are comfortable and family friendly. The staff are nice and there is a gift shop selling local goodies.
