Kalia Beach Hotel

This is the first hotel I can't recommend. The room was okay, except for the drain flies coming out of the sinks. The staff is friendly, but the people in the kitchen and restaurant walk around in their regular clothes. In the kitchen, they don't even wear caps or chef's hats, which is reflected in the food. My husband often found hair in his food. The hotel is located in the flight path, which isn't so bothersome during the day, but it's a real problem at night. The advertised cocktails don't taste good at all. We didn't receive an all-inclusive wristband upon arrival, which is probably because the hotel has a restaurant where everyone can eat. They probably want people to think, "This place is packed, the food must be good," I can't explain it any other way. The hotel also has a huge cat problem. They roam everywhere in the restaurant, and they seem to feel right at home in the trolley with the fresh towels, which won't be great for allergy sufferers. Broken sun loungers and broken ping-pong paddles aren't replaced.

Nice Hotel, good location-but the food is absolutely DREADFUL. Luke warm-at best, and utterly tasteless.... Most often, the food has NO labels, so you have no clue what you are eating, which was bad as my daughter has a fish allergy (she was sick as she thought the fish bites were chicken nuggets) and got told off for it. My partner had to ask every night "what is vegetarian" as she is one....

Disappointing Stay at the Kalia Beach Hotel – Not Recommended In October 2025, our family booked an all-inclusive package at the Kalia Beach Hotel through TUI and were unfortunately very disappointed. • Room: Clean, but with a broken air conditioner. The refrigerator was extremely loud and disturbed our sleep. The in-room safe was only available for an extra charge – this should be included in a 4-star hotel. • Food: The food was of poor quality – extremely greasy, with unbalanced flavors, and sometimes simply inedible. The presentation was uninspired, and the buffet was below average. We were forced to eat out every evening. The afternoon snack consisted of unappealing sandwiches wrapped in plastic from a refrigerated display case by the pool – not very appealing. • Drinks: Wine was poured from the tap into a water glass, cocktails were also served from the tap and exclusively in plastic cups – no enjoyment whatsoever. Even the beer was barely drinkable. • Location & Surroundings: There is no actual beach – this is particularly misleading. The hotel is located directly in the airport's flight path, resulting in considerable noise – even at night. Particularly disruptive: Garbage was collected daily at 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. in rolling containers, passing right by the pool and the ground-floor rooms – the noise was so loud that we were regularly woken up. This hotel in no way meets 4-star standards. The fact that TUI even offers this hotel raises serious questions about the tour operator's quality control.
