This is my go to place to stay when flying at MCI. Great front desk staff, reliable shuttle and clean rooms. The M club is also available at this location.

Location to airport is the only highlight. The place looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. Didn't have warm water in my room. The food in the lounge was gone minutes after it was set out. Ate at the restaurant, which was good but took a lot of pleading just to get a napkin and silverware. My room was located on the 1st floor which is under the hotel. The elevators do not show a 1 but rather Pool. When I asked the desk how to find my room, they acted like they couldn't speak English. I finally got directions from a maintenance worker. I will not return here.

I had an unfortunate series of flight delays and knew I wouldn’t arrive to the airport until 3am. My final destination was an hour drive that I didn’t feel like making at 3am so I tried to book this hotel through the app. It didn’t work - probably because it was after midnight. I called the hotel and they said I could just arrive and I would be considered a walk in reservation. I got to the hotel and they were doing their nightly audit and Allie at the front desk said she couldn’t check me in. I asked how long the audits take (is it a 5 minute thing or a 2 hour thing?). Allie wouldn't give me an estimate. I then asked how long ago she started. I was looking for some idea of how long I would have to wait. She was so unkind and unfriendly to a terribly exhausted guest. I ended up ordering an uber to my final destination of Overland Park. Before I left, I saw her check in another guest. When I was leaving for my uber, I asked Allie if the audit was still going. She said no, it’s all done. Why wouldn’t she have walked over to me in the lobby and tell me? Why did she have me just there waiting? When I asked why, she said it was because I was on the phone. I did make a quick call but why not wave at me or something. Or even after my call, say something to me? I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone based on my experience with the front desk and particularly Allie. After a 13 hour travel day, I left there near tears. I understand that she didn’t know I was a Titanium member (maybe then she would have offered a bottle of water or a snack) but I don’t think any guest should be treated this way. David, the airport shuttle driver, was kind.
