We arrived at the hotel in the evening and were given a room on the 6th floor. It was extremely dusty and clearly hadn't been cleaned – it hadn't been vacuumed and it smelled awful. I've rarely experienced anything like it. We immediately went to reception and were given a new room. This one wasn't exactly clean either, but at least it didn't smell. Since we were very hungry and tired, we made do, hoping that room service would come the next day – unfortunately, we were wrong. The next day, there was no room service in the room: • no cleaning • no fresh towels • the old, dirty towels weren't even replaced Only after complaining again at reception did we get towels. The hotel has an indoor pool – this was also very dirty, not clean, and we discovered mold in several places. At this point, we had completely lost all trust in the hotel. If even the visible areas are so unhygienic, you don't want to imagine what it's like behind the scenes or in the kitchen. We had booked breakfast. Visually, it looked okay, but due to the overall poor impression, I only ate packaged food (toast, butter, jam) to be on the safe side. Out of frustration, we contacted Booking.com. They told us that nothing could be done until the hotel got in touch. We then informed the reception that we had complained to Booking.com – we explicitly emphasized that we were sorry, as the receptionist personally couldn't be held responsible. We were subsequently offered a third room. This one was actually fine, however: • the water didn't drain properly in the bathroom • the ventilation was extremely dusty Only in this room did we receive room service once, without having to ask, as well as fruit as "compensation," which we refused on principle. We then deliberately requested fresh towels daily to see if room service would come – apart from that one time, it never came again. The disappointment was enormous – both for us and for the receptionist, to whom we reported the situation again. Her response was (quote): "I'm speechless, I'm sorry." Unfortunately, there's nothing more to say. We would definitely not recommend this hotel.
