King Tut Aqua Beach Resort

After booking a vacation package well in advance, upon arrival at reception we were informed that the hotel was overbooked and were therefore forced to share a family room with another unknown couple who found themselves in the same situation... smiling... amateurs... to be polite...

It's a great hotel for the price. We're currently vacationing here. It's windy in Hurghada, but the King has a beach protected from the wind with a good entry into the sea, which is wonderful. We have a large, clean room. There's plenty of space on the beach for everyone. The food is fine for us: meat and fish every day, vegetables, rice, pasta, and potatoes. We don't drink, so I can't comment on the alcohol. Overall, it's very good for unfussy travelers.

We stayed at the King Tut Aqua Park Resort (4*) in Hurghada through Pegas Touristik. I'm writing this review so other tourists know the problems we encountered. The most difficult part began at check-in. We arrived around 1:00 PM, although the official check-in time is 2:00 PM. However, we weren't given a room until after 5:00 PM. The entire time, reception insisted we pay extra for a "nice room with a sea view." When we refused, they showed us very poor rooms at the neighboring Sphinx Hotel—small, dark, and in need of renovation. Due to the long wait and stress, my mother became ill, and her blood pressure spiked. Ultimately, I was forced to agree to pay extra to get us checked in. Unfortunately, even the "superior" room was far from perfect. It had old furniture, rusty chairs, a broken trash can, non-functioning light switches, and problems with hot water. The balcony did offer a distant view of the sea, but the view to the right was of the utility area. During our entire stay, renovations were ongoing above our room. From early morning until late evening, we heard drilling, hammering, and loud work. At times, the hallway smelled strongly of paint or sewage. On our last evening, the situation became critical—renovations continued until around 10:00 PM. We couldn't sleep. After several unsuccessful attempts to contact reception, we were forced to call the tourist police on 126. After the police arrived, the staff's demeanor changed dramatically. They offered us a room change, brought us drinks, promised an apology, and even refunded the extra charge for the "sea view." Unfortunately, no one was willing to resolve our issues without police intervention. There were also other unpleasant moments: — lines at the restaurant and a shortage of tables — dirty or damaged dishes — problems with towels on the beach — very weak free internet — indifferent or rude attitudes from some staff. The only positive things I can mention are the beautiful sea and the friendly chefs serving food. Unfortunately, our vacation was seriously ruined. Therefore, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone expecting a relaxing and comfortable stay.
