King's Suites Hotel, Beirut

Very poor hotel . The room rfid card don’t work all time and need to go to the reception every time to recharge it . And during checkout they charge 10 usd for missing useless card . Hotel is very noisy especially during the night and some special guest . If you forget to put the card to clean the room they will not clean it . Breakfast very poor as well . Don’t recommend this hotel .

I stayed at the hotel for a few nights, and the staff were genuinely lovely and very helpful. They consistently made sure we were well taken care of. As for the hotel itself, the beds were clean; however, the additional bed provided as a third bed was unserviceable, so we had to use the sofa for sleeping. The bathroom had an unpleasant sewage odor, which was the only notable issue with it. Overall, the stay was pleasant thanks to the attentive staff, but there are a few areas that could use improvement.

The hotel is located near the sea, next to the Pigeon Rocks and the promenade. There are grocery stores, cafes, and restaurants nearby. The staff was always very polite, always smiling, and always helpful with all our requests, for which we are so grateful! We paid the full amount upon check-in, plus they took a $100 deposit with a receipt, which was later returned. The breakfast could have been better, of course, but the selection was good; everything we tried was delicious, and we enjoyed it. The breakfast's downsides included a lack of meat dishes (two types of sausage, and they were so-so), limited fruit—they were replenished only once a week—and very few desserts. We were upgraded to a superior room for free, and honestly, I don't know what the standard room had, as there were so many complaints about the "superior" room. The furniture was old, partially torn, and the bathroom showed signs of renovation (poor renovation). We didn't use the TV or air conditioning. We were given two free bottles of water upon check-in, and then again during the initial cleaning, and that was it. By the way, the cleaning was very good. It's strange that they only gave one set of towels for two people. Overall, it's an okay hotel, 3 stars at most, but with very good staff. What I didn't like was that we rented a car from the hotel, at a reasonable price, but they don't offer insurance. When we slightly scratched the bottom of the bumper, they charged us $100 for it. It was unpleasant. The most annoying thing was that when we left, the receptionist asked us to "look up" our reservation on Booking. It later turned out that she had left a great review for the hotel on our behalf. I really didn't like that. Overall, it's an okay hotel, if you're not looking for something truly exceptional. If I go to Beirut again, I might choose this one if the price is low, but if I have a bigger budget, I’ll look for something else.
