This was my first time at the Oedo Onsen Monogatari Hotel ♥, so I had high expectations♪ I thought I'd start from the bottom and go to this standard room. The service was good, and the smiling staff were very welcoming. However, it was a little confusing for first-time visitors to find the indoor and outdoor hot springs. Well, I guess that's to be expected considering the merger of several hotels and the renovations. (^_^) The baths switch between morning and evening, so you can enjoy the hot springs, and the men's outdoor bath at night is small but has a nice atmosphere, although it can get a bit cramped at certain times. However, from the perspective of the woman I was with, she said that the cleaning was poor, and the trash bins in the changing rooms weren't emptied in the early morning, and brushes and other items weren't replenished. Since the men's and women's baths switch between morning and evening, I thought this might be even more of a concern for women. Dinner, which I was most looking forward to, had a wide variety and looked delicious♪, but since I was hoping for seafood, the sashimi was limited to tuna and sweet shrimp. There were only about five types of sushi, not much different from the ones at Star Taro, so it was heartbreaking and brought tears to my eyes. (ToT) It's cheap but has a wide selection, so I guess it can't be helped, but it was still disappointing. The squid on the breakfast rice bowl was white and mushy from thawing, and the tuna was discolored... I don't plan on going back, but I thought the staff were great, providing a device to bring ice to your room and being so welcoming. If you don't mind the food and seafood in the kitchen, it's fine.
