The owner of this place is greedy and does know the law. My boyfriend was hit by a car, and had no where to go from hospital. He used his ODSP to pay for 5 days. Insurance informed us they could provide $3000 for 2 months. I asked him if he would except $3000 per month for him to stay there. He agreed when speaking to us. When he spoke with my bf OT worker he told her we would still have to pay $500 on top. This is not what he originally agreed and $3000 is alot for those dumps. No phone, no microwave., no breakfast as advertised. We had no water for 2 days end of November and when he was given the laundry he didn't given clean linens back, we had to wait until the linens that were given were washed and dried. He never had to vacuum the room or do anything as I dd it. He kicked my boyfriend out over $200 and would not even allow him to grab his coat, air cast or $750 knee scooter. He also has everything else of my boyfriend's his $900 electric scooter, all his clothes, laptop, brand-new toaster oven frying pan, all the food he just bought all his paperwork from the accident. Legally he cannot even keep his belongings and because he was staying there long term he has to properly evict him. And how greedy can a guy be he made over $7000 on 2 months. And the room was dirty. There was still writting on the mirrors I had to scrub the place top to bottom. I even replaced grout where the tile met the tub. The grout that was there was still wet and didn't cover the gap . Oh and my boyfriend found the owner's son's iPod in the box spring. That was weird and creepy. Going to encourage my bf to file with the ltb for wrongful eviction and the value of his belongings if he has thrown them out or still refuses to return them. He didn't even have access to laundry and the fridge was more like a freezer. I can't believe how greedy people are. Well he may just have to pay all money back because my bf stuff is pretty close to $7000 value.
