KOKUSAI KANKO HOTEL KISHOTEI

We stayed here with our children for breakfast only during the New Year period. It's an old hotel, so we imagined how amazing it must have been during the Bubble Era. My child said the chandelier was amazing! We had the bath almost exclusively to ourselves, which my child loved. We could see the ocean from our room, and the view from the open-air bath was also great. The walls to the neighboring rooms were thin, so we could hear the TV from the neighboring room, but we were worried about the noise from our children. It would have been nice to have a chair by the bathroom in our room, as it would have been more comfortable. They only served breakfast, but they had a New Year's feast, so it was a satisfying breakfast. It seems like it's difficult to get a reservation for New Year's, but we'd like to stay again if we have the opportunity.

This is a large, old hotel on Hirado Island. It's not exactly on a hill, but it's built in a spot that offers a panoramic view of Hirado Port. From the port, you can really feel that you're staying in a fine hotel. The hotel entrance is on the opposite side of the port, up a fairly steep hill. There are no convenience stores nearby, and it has a nice tourist atmosphere. While it's close in a direct line, it's a shame that you have to take a detour to access it. It would be great if there was a dedicated access route into town for guests. While not specifically for motorcycles, it was also very nice that they allowed us to park our bikes at the loading entrance. The interior of the hotel, with its Western-style reception and other areas, is slightly different from the rest of the building, and has an antique feel that makes it a very nice design. The hotel itself consists of a main building and two annex buildings. The room I stayed in was A room with a limited ocean view, breakfast included. 10,000 yen. The room was simple, with a toilet and bath. As described, the view was just a little bit of ocean. The room hadn't been renovated, so the only drawback was the limited number of electrical outlets. Regarding the hot spring: The design is dated, and the open-air bath and indoor bath are in different locations, which is inconvenient. The washing area for the open-air bath is also outdoors, so you should warm up in the indoor bath before coming, but since they're far apart, it's inconvenient. The open-air bath is a little shallow, so you have to stretch a bit to immerse yourself up to your shoulders, which is a drawback. This is a negative point. The breakfast, while children may disagree, was very delicious. The emphasis is on local produce, with 40% fish, 40% wild vegetables, and the rest Western food. The fish was very tasty, so I went back for seconds several times. The variety isn't that extensive, but it's more than enough. Bread and other items are also available. When checking out, there was a staff member outside to see us off, which was a pleasant surprise. Considering its location in Japan, it is in a rather unique location, so I think only a limited number of people will be able to visit, but it was a hotel that I'm glad I made the trip from the Kanto region.

It's a rather old hotel but probably still the best choice in this area. We had kaiseki dinner in the restaurant with great view to part of the city facing shoreline. Public baths are available in 2 area. It's walking distance to St Francis Xavier church and Dutch trading post museum.
