Kuretake Inn Gotemba Inter

■Access I stayed here on foot from JR Gotemba Station. It's almost straight from the Hakoneguchi exit, making it easy to find. There are many hotels and shops along the way, so it's not too scary, even at night. It took about 20 minutes to get there. There are some dark areas, so walking at night is not recommended for women. Directly across the street is a love hotel, and next to that is a Family Mart. ■Room I stayed in the Golden Cabin. Unlike capsule hotels, there are no lockers or saunas, but the cabin-style rooms separated by curtains are spacious. Each room only accommodates about 15 people, so the density is low. On the day I stayed, the clientele was mostly middle-aged or older Japanese men. Even with earplugs and headphones, their snoring pierced my ears... Even I, who am used to dormitories, had trouble falling asleep. Perhaps the lack of a sauna and the inability to enjoy a relaxing bath were to blame. ■Bath (Hot Spring) The bathtub is about twice the size of a home bath and has two washbasins. Apparently, hot spring water is transported and added to the circulating hot spring water from an affiliated facility. Contrary to what's stated on their website, bathing was available until 11:00 PM. The limited capacity meant it was difficult to enjoy a leisurely bath, including the shower. I wish they'd limit the number of guests allowed. ■Other Services They offered welcome drinks (including alcohol) until 8:00 PM, coffee service until 1:00 AM, and coffee service in the mornings. They provided toiletries and other amenities, and rented out everything you need, including irons. They also provided a microwave and hot water, making for a comprehensive service.

I stayed in a cabin type room.

There was a welcome drink. Juice, beer, whiskey, and shochu. Coffee was always free. Ice was also free. Free breakfast was also a plus. The room was very spacious and comfortable. I would like to stay again. Parking was free, and there was a hot spring.
