Kyushu hotel

I was planning a trip to Nagasaki with my parents at the end of November 2025, and I wanted to play golf at Unzen Golf Course, so I had them stay at this hotel. (My husband and I stayed at Oedo Onsen because we were early in the morning.) Since my father can't travel long distances, I was very grateful to staff member M, who provided me with information and suggestions when I inquired about various options in advance. When we arrived, I helped with check-in, and they even offered us a welcome drink and snacks. While carrying our luggage to our room, we also had a chance to look around. To get to our room, we walked along a connecting corridor to the accommodation building. There's a bar on the second floor, and apparently they serve free drinks in the evening. (My parents didn't use it, but I would have definitely used it!) The rooftop lounge, with a view of Unzen Jigoku, offers free self-service coffee and soft drinks in the morning, and beer and sparkling wine in the evening. It's also great! Check-out was at 11am, but the top start at Unzen Golf Course was a late 9am, so with the help of the golf course staff, the two of us managed to play 18 holes in 3 hours. Apparently, the rooftop, which is normally closed, was opened for us between check-out and when we were picked up just after 12pm. While I would like to stay every minute longer at a fantastic hotel like this, I didn't stay overnight this time as I had golf to play, but this trip made me realize that this is the kind of place to stay.

This is practically a top-tier hotel in Unzen. The lounge offers complimentary drinks, and the food is excellent, almost like fine dining. You can stay two nights here for the price of one at Suanbo Yuwonjae. 😊 The service is far superior to anywhere else in Korea. 😊 The price is quite high, but it's worth a try. However, it's located right next to Unzen National Park, so it's not recommended for those who dislike the smell of sulfur. ^^;

We stayed here two years in a row. Everything is just right. It's hard to put into words, but the staff keep a comfortable distance, and our room overlooked Unzen Jigoku, so the view was great. Guests can use the hotel bar for free. There are some areas where staff are present and others where you can help yourself, so it's perfect for those who like alcohol. The bath is attached to the room, so you can bathe whenever you want and as much as you want, and it really warms you up. The food is also delicious. I love this hotel, and I want to go every year.
