About My Stay – Guest Concern I am writing to report serious concerns regarding my recent stay at a La Quinta hotel while traveling with my very elderly and handicapped parents, both in their late 80s. Given their age, limited mobility, and sensitivity to cold, these conditions raised serious concerns about their comfort and safety. Upon check-in, we entered our room to find that the heat had been completely turned OFF, not simply turned down, on one of the coldest days of the year. Because of my parents’ age and health, this was alarming. They were forced to keep their coats on for over an hour while the room slowly warmed enough for them to safely prepare for bed. Later that evening, I discovered that the toilet did not flush properly. Toilet paper remained floating and would not go down. Due to my parents’ mobility limitations and the late hour, we made the difficult decision to stay in the room. Unfortunately, throughout the night, the toilet functioned progressively worse and eventually would not flush solids or paper at all. I attempted to fix it myself without success. This issue should have been detected prior to our arrival. A non-functioning toilet would have been obvious during routine cleaning, raising concerns about room inspection standards. When I reported these issues at checkout, the front desk clerk simply said, “I will make a note of it.” There was no apology, concern, or acknowledgment of the seriousness of the situation. As a frequent traveler, I felt both unnoticed and disrespected. More importantly, I am concerned for future guests—particularly elderly or disabled travelers—who could face similar conditions. I would appreciate acknowledgment of this feedback, confirmation that the room conditions and inspection procedures have been reviewed, and appropriate consideration for our stay. THE HOTEL'S RESPONSE: You should have let us know while you were here. The point is, they are HANDICAPPED - we could not have changed rooms without a HUGE effort. And who turns OFF the heat in the middle of winter? Its not busy, ok, turn it down, but it should never be off ! HORRIBLE HOTEL - disrespected as a guest, my feedback was not acknowledged in a respectful manner. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL

Amazing!

Great comfortable stay. Felt safe. Clean. Easy parking right outside. Small hotel, easy to navigate. For breakfast there were waffles, little strudels, eggs, sausage, yogurt, coffee. Indoor pool was open but it’s pretty small. Fitness center.
