La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Santa Fe

The hotel is outdated inside, the service is average! Constant problem with the room key that doesn't work. The water in the bathroom doesn't drain, the drain is clogged. I don't recommend it!

La Quinta really should be a 3 star hotel not 2, it always vastly outshines any of the other 2 star hotels

I stayed in Santa Fe over Christmas at this "hotel" (it's actually a motel, not a hotel), and I will never be back. Upon arrival, they informed us we'd booked a room without a microwave or a mini-fridge. In the same breath we were informed that they were switching us to a room that DID have these - which was good, but we had been under the impression these items would be included in our original room, so it was a weird exchange. The room itself was entirely sub-par. Lumpy pillows, stained bed linens, foreign hairs in the shower, and a toilet that ran constantly unless you jiggled the lever after each flush. The provided shampoo and conditioner were essentially just thickened water - they neither cleaned nor conditioned my hair, they just spread the oils around. The TV was barely functional - we couldn't connect any devices to the "chromecast" or use any streaming services. The cable was partially functional (navigating to channels through the guide would not work). We brought this up to the front desk after our first night, and they said they would send someone to look at it (they did not). Every night after returning to our room, we would have to park on the other side of the building (because parking was abysmal) and after lugging our things all the way up to our 3rd floor room - our key cards wouldn't work and we would have to go to the front desk to get them reactivated. Every. Night. To make matters worse, the front desk "attendant" was anything but. Each trek down to the front desk resulted in waiting 10-20 minutes for service. Sometimes they weren't even in the building, sometimes they were in the back room doing heaven knows what on their phone (coming out after several minutes because their DoorDash had just arrived), or they were busy flirting with another customer, taking several minutes getting their phone number before offering assistance to us. The breakfast was mediocre, there was a literal (poorly patched) bullet hole in the door, and the floors were filthy. I would never stay in this motel again, and if you're reading this review, I highly encourage you stay somewhere else. Anywhere else.
